Overview
The Zoom Phone integration is easy to enable. Navigate to More > Settings > Integrations and enable Zoom Phone.
Once enabled, users can place calls from SalesExec using the Zoom Workplace desktop application. When a user clicks to call a lead, Zoom Workplace opens automatically and places the call.
SalesExec uses the following settings by default:
Protocol:
zoomphonecall:Country Code:
+1
These settings do not need to be changed for a standard Zoom Phone setup.
Prerequisites
Before getting started, ensure that:
The Zoom Workplace desktop application is installed.
The user is signed in to Zoom.
The user has an active Zoom Phone license.
Calling is enabled for the user’s Zoom account.
The user has a valid phone number assigned to their Zoom Phone account.
Setup Instructions
Step 1: Enable Zoom Phone
Navigate to More > Settings > Integrations.
Locate the Zoom Phone settings.
Enable Zoom Phone.
Save the changes.
The Protocol is set to zoomphonecall: and the Country Code is set to +1 by default. These settings normally do not need to be changed.
Step 2: Place a Call
Navigate to the Pull Page in SalesExec.
Pull or open a lead.
Click the option to call the lead.
Zoom Workplace should open automatically and place the call.
The browser may ask for permission to open Zoom Workplace the first time a call is placed. Approve the request to continue.
How It Works
When a user clicks a lead’s phone number in SalesExec, the Zoom Workplace application opens and places the call.
The call is handled through the user’s Zoom Phone account, so the user must be signed in and have an active Zoom Phone license.
Protocol and Country Code Settings
The default protocol is zoomphonecall:, and the default country code is +1.
These settings should not be changed for a standard Zoom Phone setup in the United States or Canada. They are configurable only if Zoom’s requirements change, another country code is needed, or a different calling application is used.
Troubleshooting
Zoom Workplace Does Not Open:
If Zoom Workplace does not open when a call is initiated:
Confirm that the Zoom Workplace desktop application is installed and running.
Verify that the user is signed in.
Allow the browser to open Zoom Workplace when prompted.
Confirm that the default Zoom Phone settings have not been changed.
The Call Is Not Placed:
If Zoom Workplace opens but does not place the call:
Verify that the user has an active Zoom Phone license.
Confirm that calling is enabled for the user’s account.
Check that the lead’s phone number is correct.
Verify the user’s Zoom Phone permissions and configuration.
“Your Account Does Not Support Calling”:
This error comes directly from Zoom Workplace:
“Your account does not support calling.”
This typically means:
The user does not have a Zoom Phone license assigned.
Calling is not enabled for the user’s account.
The user’s Zoom Phone configuration or permissions are incomplete.
The user should contact their Zoom administrator to verify their Zoom Phone license, calling permissions, and account configuration.
Summary
The Zoom Phone integration provides a simple way to place calls from SalesExec using Zoom Workplace. The default settings are already configured, so users only need to enable the integration and ensure that Zoom Workplace is installed and their account has an active Zoom Phone license.
