Overview
This feature allows users with the correct permissions to expand Quick Search to include leads beyond just "Valid" ones. You can specify whether to search through Valid, Invalid (rejected), Returned leads, or a combination of all types.
Key Functionalities
Search All Lead Statuses: When permitted, you can choose to search through Valid, Invalid, and Returned leads simultaneously.
Visual Identification: The search results clearly flag leads that are Returned or Invalid for easy identification.
Permission-Based: This enhanced search capability is controlled by a user permission set by an administrator.
Understanding Lead Statuses
Valid Lead: A standard, active lead that has been accepted into the system.
Return Lead: A lead that was manually sent back (e.g., to a pool or a manager) by a user for various reasons.
β
βInvalid Lead: A lead that was automatically rejected by the system, most commonly due to a duplicate phone number or email address.
How to Search Different Lead Types
For Users With The Permission
If your user role has the "Quick Search Invalid or Returned Leads" permission enabled:
Navigate to the My Leads section.
Click into the "Quick Search Leads..." bar.
A dropdown menu will appear, allowing you to select your search scope:
Valid Leads: (Default) Searches only active, accepted leads.
Invalid Leads: Searches only leads rejected by the system's duplicate check.
Returned Leads: Searches only leads that have been manually returned.
All Leads: Searches across all statuses (Valid, Invalid, and Returned).
Select your desired scope and then enter your search term. The results will display leads matching both your search term and the selected status.
For Users Without The Permission
If you do not have the specific permission, the Quick Search function will default to searching Valid Leads only. You will not see the dropdown menu to select other statuses.
Best Practices
Use "All Leads" to Find Anything: If you are unsure of a lead's status, use the "All Leads" option to cast the widest net.
Look for the Flags: In the search results, pay attention to the flags that identify Returned or Invalid leads. This provides immediate context before you take action.
Understand the Difference: Knowing that "Invalid" means a system duplicate and "Returned" means a user manually sent it back helps you decide how to handle the lead.
Troubleshooting
The dropdown menu to select lead types is not appearing.
Your user role does not have the "Quick Search Invalid or Returned Leads" permission. Contact your system administrator to request this access.I found a returned lead I want to work.
You can typically reclaim or reassign a returned lead. Check the right-click menu options or contact your manager for your team's specific process.I found an invalid lead that is not a duplicate.
Invalid leads are typically created by the system's automated duplicate check. If you believe it was rejected in error, please contact your administrator.
