Using the Toolbar to Navigate SalesExec

Use the toolbar to navigate to the various parts of SalesExec with the collapsed toolbar feature.

Overview

The main navigation toolbar provides access to all core areas of the SalesExec application. This guide explains the purpose of each menu option and how to use features like the collapsible menu and setting a custom home page.

Key Functionalities

  • Centralized Navigation: The toolbar is your primary method for moving between different sections like My Leads, Calendar, and Reports.

  • Collapsible Menu: You can collapse the toolbar to icons only to maximize screen space for working with leads.

  • Custom Home Page: Set any frequently visited page (like a specific lead workflow) as your default landing page.

  • User-Specific Permissions: The menu options visible to you depend on your user role and permissions.

Main Menu Sections

Top Navigation Bar

  • HOME: Click to return to your designated home page.

  • CALENDAR: View and manage your appointments, both lead-related and personal.

  • MY LEADS: Access the Lead Manager Screen (LMS) to view, search, and manage your lead pipeline.

  • CONTACTS: View and manage your contact list.

  • PRODUCTS: Access the product catalog (if applicable to your organization).

  • REPORTS: View a variety of reports to analyze performance and lead data.

  • PULL: Access the Pull screen to retrieve leads from a Pull Distribution queue.

User Menu (Dropdown)

Click the arrow next to your name in the top-right corner to access the following options:

  • Settings: (Typically for Administrators) Access system configuration and account management tools.

  • My Account: View and edit your personal user information, including notification settings.

  • Set as Home: Set your current page as your default landing page (Home).

  • Logout: Securely log out of the application. It is recommended to log out at the end of each shift.

Utility Menu

  • HELP: Access support resources, including the knowledge base, page tours, and live chat with the support team.

  • COLLAPSE/EXPAND (Arrow Icon): Toggle the toolbar between a full-width view with text labels and a compact, icon-only view to save screen space.

How to Use the Toolbar

Setting a Custom Home Page

  1. Navigate to the page you want to set as your home page (e.g., a specific workflow view in My Leads).

  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to your name in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Set as Home.

  4. Now, whenever you click HOME in the main menu, you will be directed to this page.

Collapsing the Menu

  1. Click the > COLLAPSE/EXPAND arrow button on the far right of the toolbar.

  2. The menu will minimize, showing only icons.

  3. To expand it again, click the > COLLAPSE/EXPAND arrow button again.

Best Practices

  • Set a Useful Home Page: Set your Home page to the screen you use most often, such as your primary lead workflow, to save time.

  • Use the Collapsed View: Use the collapsed, icon-only view when you need more horizontal space to view lead details or reports.

  • Bookmark the Help Section: Use the HELP menu as your first stop for questions. The knowledge base and page tours can often provide immediate answers.

Troubleshooting

  • A menu option is missing from my toolbar
    User permissions control the visibility of menu items. Please reach out to your system administrator if you think you need access to a missing section.

  • My Home page reset unexpectedly
    The Home page setting is stored in your browser. Try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser. If the problem persists, reset your Home page.
