Overview

SalesExec allows users and administrators to update user login credentials to maintain account security and ensure accurate user identification. Updating a user name or password may be required due to security policies, role changes, credential resets, or personal preference.

Keeping user credentials current helps protect account access and ensures proper tracking of user activity across the platform.

Key Functionality

  • Update a user’s login name or email (if used as the username)

  • Reset or change user passwords securely

  • Support administrator-initiated credential updates

  • Maintain accurate user attribution for lead and activity tracking

  • Enforce security and access control best practices

How to Use This Feature

Whether you are an agent or an administrator, you have the ability to change your username and password.

If you are an Agent or an Administrator, you can change information on your accounts by following the steps outlined below:

  • Click the arrow below your account name.

  • Click My Account.

My Account 1.1

  • Under Account Settings notice User Name, Change Password and Current Password.

  • Enter required information to change.

  • Click Save Changes to the top right of the screen.

Account Settings 1.2

Note: You must enter your current password to change the password. If you have forgotten your password, your Administrator will need to change the password for you.

Best Practices

  • Encourage users to use strong, unique passwords.

  • Update credentials immediately if a security concern is suspected.

  • Avoid sharing login credentials between users.

  • Standardize user naming conventions for easier administration.

  • Periodically review and update credentials as part of security audits.

Troubleshooting

  • If a user cannot log in after an update, confirm the correct user name and password were saved.

  • Ensure password requirements are met when setting a new password.

  • Verify the user account is active and not disabled.

  • If login issues persist, reset the password and have the user try again.
