Overview

The Action Activity Report in SalesExec shows how actions (also known as dispositions or workflow events) are being used across your team. This report details which actions were triggered, who triggered them, when they occurred, and how frequently. It’s ideal for understanding behavioral patterns, tracking workflow adoption, and spotting bottlenecks or training needs in your sales processes.

Key Functionality

  • Action Usage Counts
Displays the number of times each workflow action was taken during the selected period.

  • User-Level Breakdown
Shows which users executed specific actions, so you can see performance and adherence to workflows.

  • Date & Time Tracking
Includes timestamps for when actions were performed, enabling you to analyze activity patterns by day/hour.

  • Filter by Record Type / Distribution Strategy
Segment the report by lead type or distribution strategy context to focus analysis where it matters.

  • Outcome Categorization
Helps differentiate between positive conversions, follow-ups, disqualifications, and other action types.

  • Exportable Format
You can export the report for offline review or sharing with stakeholders.

How to Use This Feature

  1. Log in to SalesExec and open the Reports section.

  2. Select Action Activity Report.

  3. Choose a date range for the period you want to analyze.

  4. (Optional) Apply filters such as:

    • User or team

    • Record type

    • Distribution method

    • Specific actions or action groups

  5. Run the report. The output will typically display:

    • Action Name

    • User who performed the action

    • Date and time of action execution

    • Count of times the action occurred during the period

  6. Review the results to identify which actions are most common, which users are most active, and where workflow usage may lag.

Why is this important?

Actions drive status changes. The more actions are occurring during a given time, the more active your team is calling and working their leads. If you configure your categories correctly, you should be able to see Outbound vs. Inbound activity here.

Formula

Leads that have been actioned during each month of the year for the date range selected.

This report runs for the entire month's worth of data. Selecting a mid-day of the month for the start date will round down to the 1st. Selecting a mid-day for the end date will round up to the last day of that month.

Best Practices

  • Run the report regularly (weekly or monthly) to monitor workflow adoption and consistency.

  • Use filters to drill into specific teams, campaigns, or record types for more targeted insights.

  • Compare trends over time to see if recent training or workflow changes improved action adoption.

  • Highlight outliers — unusually high or low action counts often point to process or system issues.

  • Pair with performance outcomes (like closures or contacts made) to evaluate action effectiveness, not just volume.

Troubleshooting

  • Report shows zero actions for a user who was active
→ Make sure the selected date range captures the period when actions were taken.
→ Verify that your filters (like user or record type) aren’t excluding results.

  • Action counts seem too high or duplicated
→ Confirm that users aren’t accidentally triggering actions multiple times due to interface issues or rapid state changes.

  • Certain actions aren’t appearing in the report
→ Check that those actions are configured in the workflow and are being used in statuses that occurred during the date range.

  • Report runs slowly or errors on large date ranges
→ Narrow the date range or apply additional filters (user, record type) to reduce the data volume.

  • Exported report doesn’t match the on-screen output
→ Ensure the same filters and date range are applied when exporting.
