Overview

SalesExec allows administrators to create reusable SMS templates for consistent and efficient text communication. SMS templates can be used for manual messaging, automated workflows, and follow-ups, helping teams respond faster while maintaining approved messaging standards.

Templates support dynamic personalization by pulling data directly from lead records, allowing messages to feel customized without requiring manual typing each time.

Key Functionality

  • Create reusable SMS templates for manual and automated messaging.

  • Insert dynamic lead fields to personalize messages automatically.

  • Organize templates into groups for easier management and selection.

  • Control template visibility through corporate or branch ownership.

  • Use templates across messaging tools, workflows, and automated actions.

How to Use This Feature

To create a new SMS template:

  1. Navigate to More > Settings > Text SMS Templates.

  2. Click the green Add Template button to create a new template.

  3. Add a name to your template and compose your message. You can click on a lead field on the left side of the template creator to add a dynamic data tag to the template.

Select a group for your template to be added to and click Save.

Additional information about SMS template settings and creating groups can be found here.

Best Practices

  • Use clear naming conventions so users can quickly identify the correct template.

  • Keep SMS messages concise to ensure readability and better response rates.

  • Use dynamic fields carefully and ensure required lead data is consistently captured.

  • Organize templates into logical groups such as follow-ups, reminders, or re-engagement.

  • Periodically review templates to ensure messaging remains accurate and compliant.

Troubleshooting

  • If a template does not appear, verify that it is assigned to a group and that you have permission to access it.

  • If dynamic fields populate incorrectly, confirm that the corresponding lead fields contain valid data.

  • Templates may fail to send if required lead information is missing from the record.

  • If a template does not trigger in an automated action, review the workflow configuration and template selection.
