How to Use This Node

Criteria Options

Regional Settings

  • By State - Route calls based on a state or group of states. Routing is based on the state in which the caller's phone number was registered in. 

  • By Zip Code - Route calls based on a zip code or group of zip codes. Routing is based on the zip code in which the caller's phone number was registered in. 

  • By Area Code - Route calls based on the three digit area code or group of area codes. Routing based on area code is based on the caller's registered phone number.

Opening Hours Settings

  • Opened - Route calls based on the daily opened business hours of your organization.

By Variable Settings

  • Dialed Number - The phone number that the caller dialed. In this instance, it could be a number you purchased to handle Inbound Calls. When using this option, the evaluation is completed against an international format when using the evaluators Starts With and Equal To. If the number purchased is 6235551234, enter the formatted +16235551234. 

  • Lead Number - The phone number used by a caller. This could also be a transfer number from another location. When using this option, the evaluation is completed against an international format when using the evaluators Starts With and Equal To. If the inbound number is 6235551234, enter the formatted +16235551234. 

  • Lead City - The city in which the caller's phone was registered in. 

  • Lead State - The abbreviated (ex. AZ) state name in which the caller's phone was registered in.

  • Lead Country - The abbreviated (ex. US) country in which the caller's phone was registered in.

  • Lead Zip Code - The five digit zip code in which the caller's phone was registered in.

  • [Gather Node Variable] - The Variable specified in the Gather Node. The Gather Node must be used in front of the Criteria Node.

Use Cases

  • Route based on Business Hours - As an administrator, you may decide to route after close of business calls to an external phone number. 

  • Route based on Geolocation - As an administrator, you may wish to route calls from specific parts of the country to specific call groups.
